Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar has broken his silence over his dramatic weight loss after fans and well-wishers expressed growing concern about his health.
Speaking during an Instagram Live session, Johar reassured his followers that he is in good health and feeling better than ever. “I am perfectly healthy, and I feel much better than I did before,” he told viewers.
The director also addressed rumours suggesting he may have used the weight-loss drug Ozempic, stating that his transformation was instead the result of a balanced diet. “My weight loss is solely due to eating healthy and exercising,” Johar clarified, while sharing a screenshot of the online accusations on his Instagram Story.
Johar, 51, also disclosed that he is currently on medication, but added that the significant reduction in his weight occurred because of his eating habits, specifically only having one meal a day.
He further explained that he maintains his fitness routine through activities such as paddleball and swimming.
In a lighthearted moment, Johar joked about revealing his routine, saying, “If I tell you everything, my secret will be out. Well, I guess it’s already out.”
The filmmaker’s focus, he said, has been on achieving better health goals through sustainable practices. He urged fans to eat only what is necessary, avoid indulgence, and prioritise exercise as part of a balanced lifestyle.
Despite the online speculation, the filmmaker’s message was clear: health improvements are achievable through consistent effort, and there are no shortcuts.
