Kim Kardashian may have stirred controversy within the very industry she aspires to join with the release of her new drama All’s Fair on Disney+ this week.
The 45-year-old business mogul and lawyer-in-training stars alongside an ensemble cast including Sarah Paulson, Noami Watss, Glenn Close, Niecy Nash, and Teyana Taylor in a series that follows a team of high-powered female attorneys who leave their firm to launch their own company.
In real life, Kim is awaiting the results of her bar exam, which will determine whether she can officially pursue her dreams of practicing law.
On the show, Kim portrays Allura Grant, a character bent on destroying her younger husband, who married her for her wealth.
Commenting on the drama, Kate Daly, divorce expert and co-founder of the online divorce services company Amicable, told The Daily Mail exclusively that programs like this can ‘perpetuate damaging myths about divorce’ and ‘glorifying hostility over healing.’
It comes after Kim said divorce was ‘such a relatable topic’ and had experience of it ‘with my family and parents growing up.’
She was married to Damon Thomas from 2000 to 2004, Kris Humphries from 2011 to 2013 and most recently to Kanye West from 2014 to 2022.
Kim and Kris split 72 days after their wedding and their would be trouble to follow.
Later she married Kanye West but ended their relationship as their divorce became toxic due to disagreements over her kids and his increasingly erratic public and online behaviour.
