Ahead of Knives Out 3, Daniel Craig was asked about the possibility of a fourth movie

As Knives Out three is a day away from release, Daniel Craig who plays detective Benoit Blanc, has been asked whether the fourth movie will be made.

To this, first his director Rian Johnson tells GoldDerby, “I don’t really think of it as a trilogy.” Adding his thought, Daniel notes, “I suppose because there’s three of them.”

“Oh yeah, that’s right!”, the filmmaker replies as the James Bond star shares, “I don’t think I see it as a trilogy either. Maybe that’s up to you guys. But the civil answer is that if we can wind each other up enough, then we’ll make another one.”

Elsewhere in the interview, the director-duo was asked about how their relationship since the first movie in 2019 has evolved.

“It’s become more of a partnership. With the first movie, we just met cold and jumped into it. [Collaborating] has been one of the true joys of it,” says Rian.

“The thing is, we didn’t make the first movie thinking we were going to make two more! We’re both long enough in the tooth to realize that ain’t the way it works.

“For everybody concerned, it was a wonderful surprise the way that audiences reacted to the first one, and that presents itself with, “Now you’ve got to make another one. That’s a high class problem, but it’s still a problem,” Daniel concludes.

Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery will open in cinemas on today.
