Britney Spears claims ‘it wasn’t me’ after erratic driving video goes viral

The Princess of Pop was seen exiting a restaurant and driving recklessly last week

Britney Spears is firing back after a viral video reignited concerns about her well-being.

Over the weekend, the Princess of Pop appeared to respond to footage showing her driving erratically in Thousand Oaks, California, following a dinner at Red-O restaurant last week.

“If anyone is wondering the lookalike was not me…,” Spears, 43, wrote on Instagram Saturday, alongside a graphic of Minnie Mouse and Daisy Duck hugging.

The clip, obtained by the Daily Mail on Thursday, October 23, showed the Grammy winner exiting a restaurant before swerving across lanes, drifting into a bike lane, and making a sharp U-turn. While she didn’t directly reference the video, her post came shortly after it made headlines.

In a follow-up message, the Toxic hitmaker vented about the constant scrutiny she faces online.

“I don’t feel respected at all by the most unbelievably horrible things being said about me,” she wrote, adding that she doesn’t feel “inspired or motivated AT ALL to show new art,” though she did share a throwback video of herself painting.

Meanwhile, Daily Mail reports that her family has been holding “crisis talks,” fearing she is “losing control” after her ex-husband Kevin Federline released his bombshell memoir You Thought You Knew.

In the memoir, the former backup dancer makes shocking claims about Spears and their three-year marriage, especially about their two sons.

Spears hit back at Federline’s allegations on X, writing, “The constant gaslighting from [my] ex-husband is extremely hurtful and exhausting.”

Her spokesperson later accused Federline of trying to “profit off” her story.
