NAB Secures Rs547bn in Recoveries During First Half of 2025

The National Accountability Bureau  achieved record recoveries in the second quarter of 2025, securing Rs456 billion and bringing total recoveries for the first half of the year to Rs547 billion.

In addition, 12,611 victims of various fraud cases were compensated.

Over the past two years, NAB has recovered Rs5,854.73 billion in movable and immovable assets.

Releasing its mid-year 2025 performance report, the bureau reaffirmed its strong resolve to fight corruption and protect public interest through intensified recovery efforts.

These recoveries are 700% higher than the Rs839.08 billion recovered since NAB’s inception.

Of the Rs547.31 billion recovered in the first two quarters of 2025, assets worth Rs532.33 billion have been handed over to federal and provincial ministries, departments, and financial institutions.

The Bureau’s relentless efforts are evident through the recovery of Rs456.3 billion during the second quarter of 2025, marking a substantial increase of Rs365.29 billion compared to Rs91.01 billion recovered in the first quarter of the same year.

Currently, NAB is actively coordinating with the Revenue Departments of all provinces to recover state assets and properties unlawfully held by corrupt elements.

Preliminary estimates indicate that state land worth approximately Rs5 trillion is under illegal possession and will be reclaimed.
